MOJ Data Management System Project
The Ministry of Justice is responsible for providing legal services to the Government of Palau, as well as promoting and protecting safety and peace of the public my enforcing all Republic of Palau laws. There are four major departments/agencies under the Ministry of Justice – The Office of the Attorney General, the Bureau of Immigration and Labor, the Bureau of Public Safety, and the Bureau of Maritime Security and Fish and Wildlife Protection. All agencies within the Ministry of Justice have a need to share information from time to time. Data collection and exchange throughout the Ministry is grossly inadequate and fragmented. The major outcome of this project is to develop new systems and integrate into existing Information Technology and Systems of the Ministry of Justice.
This project addresses this critical connectivity and areas of improvement for the efficiency of the ministry of justice service processes. WebPlus Technology has identified key components of business operation that require immediate implementation of customize to retain efficiency.
The scopes of work for this project are:
- Develop Bureau of Public Safety Information System, include
- Public Safety Website Portal System
- Vehicle & Registration & Licensing
- Division of Patrol
- Division of Corrections
- Division of Criminal Investigation & Drug Enforcement
- Division of Fire & Rescue
- Division of Fish & Wildlife
- Narcotic Enforcement Agency
- Develop Division of Marine Law Information System
- Develop Attorney General Information System
- Upgrade Division of Labor Management System
- Upgrade Border Management System – BMS System integrated with Passenger Photo Capture and Fingerprint Devices can do the manual passenger photo and fingerprint check and recording to the BMS database for integrated with Biometric capabilities.
- Install offline portable BMS system and integrated with Passenger Photo Capture and Fingerprint Devices and data synchronize to BMS system.
- Develop MOJ Website – MOJ Website integrated with e-VISA system capabilities.
- Integrate Bureau of Public Safety Information System with Tax Information System.
- Implement Application, Database and Storage servers for Bureau of Public Safety Information System and Attorney General Information System.
- Backup server – Two back-up servers for application and databases.
- Replace PCs – there are 20 PCs that currently needs replacing.
- Anti-virus server for all PCs on the BPS, AG, DMLE and Immigration network at KOROR – All computers that will connect to the BPS, AG, DMLE and Immigration network at KOROR must have anti-virus installed.
- Upgrade BPS Network infrastructure – Redesign the office network for Bureau of Public Safety at KOROR.
Wifi – Provide wireless access to Bureau of Public Safety employees, and AG employees.
